Philip Patrick Stephen Mulryne (order of preachers) is a Irish Dominican priest in the Roman Catholic Church and one time a professional footballer. Fr. Philip was born on the 1st of January 1978. Philip Patrick started his football career by playing for the youth team of Manchester United in the year 1994.

He made his first international debut for his country in a football match against Belgium on February 1997 and later made his football debut with the club side Manchester United in a match against Ipswich the following year. Philip Patrick also played for Norwich city from 1999-2005, Cardiff City from 2005-2007, Leyton Orient in 2007 and King's Lynn 2007-2008.

View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Having been called by God, the ex-Manchester player, joined the novitiate of the Dominicans(Order of Preachers) in 2012. Four years later, he took the profession to become a friar of the Dominican order which took place in Dublin, Ireland. Fr. Mulryne was ordained a Deacon and a catholic priest on the 29th of October 2016 and on the 8th of July 2017 respectively. On the 10th of July, he presided at his first Mass at Saint Oliver Plunkett Church, Belfast.
