The academic staff Union of Nigeria has again suggest towards maintaining closure of schools by the federal government.

In statement coming from the president of the union, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, the academic union totally kicked against the any plans from the federal government reopening of school that was earlier closed due to corona virus ravaging the country.

This opinion of the academic Union is coming barely a time when everyone are eager to hear of national briefing by the presidential task force, which everyone hope to be a positive one.

According to the union, the federal government has not done much on the educational sector, thereby they urge the government to fix up the challenges in the education sector before talking about the reopening institution of learning.

The president of the union urge the federal government not to open school now, citing that any plan in trying doing such failed one in his word "any attempt to reopen school now is suicidal".
