The Nigerian Army has been dragged before the Federal High Court in Abuja over the continous detention and unlawful arrest of Lance Corporal Martins and his wife, Mrs Victoria Idakpini earlier this month.Lance Corporal Martins had earlier released a video where he criticize the security chiefs and lament about lack of enough ammunitions to fight terrorism in the north.In the video which went viral on June 23, Martin's could be see saying he knows the consequences of his actions and he was ready to face it.
He was arrested shortly after he shared the video online and just days later, his wife Mrs Victoria Idakpini was also arrested too.Leaving no one to cater for their three children.
Confirming the authenticity of the lawsuit, Mr Tope Akinyode who's the National President of Revolutionary Lawyer's Forum, tweeted that:
"We are of the considered view that the continued detention of Lance Corporal Martins violates his fundamental human rights much as it violates the extant provisions of the Armed Forces Act".

The Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, are both joined in the lawsuit.What do you think of this? Between corporal Martin and the military, who's do you think is more justified.
