Taking to his recent post on social media platforms, he asked


Why do we Africans continue accepting racist names given by non Africans? "Reno omokri


A question that begot answers from the audience.


The gospeller, Reno omokri listed some Africa countries named by non Africans.


According to him, he wrote: Mozambique is named after Musa Bique, an Arab slave trader. 


Zanzibar is named after the derogatory Arabic word for blacks (Zanj).


Nigeria literally means Niger Area (Niger is black in Latin). 


Kenya was named by a German explorer, Ludwig krapf, while Cameron was named by Portuguese sailors after Camerões, the Portuguese word for shrimp. 


Even within Nigeria, towns are named after slavery, such as Escravos (slave in Portuguese) and Forcados (forces labourer).


Why do we Africans continue accepting these racist names given us by non Africans?
