The 24 years old opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the seventh minutes after a fine pass from England star Marcus Rashford.

The former Monaco star should have doubled United’s lead few minutes after the first goal, but his effort was not successful.

Aaron Wan Bissaka provided a great cross for the French star in the 44th minutes after Sheffield United defenders refused to clear the ball from their box, and the striker wasted no chance by scoring his second goal of the game. He scored his third goal in the 74th minutes after an assist from Marcus Rashford.

With the three goals scored against Sheffield, Anthony Martial has now scored 19 goals this season, his highest scoring season since joining Manchester United from AS Monaco in 2015 summer transfer window.

Manchester United have now reduced the gap between them and fourth place Chelsea to 2 points after the victory, and they will be hoping the Blues slip when they play against Manchester City on Thursday night, in order to give them hope of qualifying for the UEFA champions League next season.
