View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Anti Malarial drugs Vs Vitamin c Vs Blood Tonic

Taking malarial drugs with vitamin c and blood tonic is a common error we all indulge in,me inclusive but I want to tell you now that is an error and a big error with consequences.

View pictures in App save up to 80% data. When we are sick, especially when we know the genesis of the sickness, we tend to self medicate without knowing the implication of taking such drugs.

You should know that every drug is a poison and also a cure. What differentiates the drug from being a poison or also a cure is the dosage at which it is taken.

The liver is the site of drug metabolism in the human body. Therefore every drug taken is reduced to tiny amounts in the liver.

The liver is an important organ in the life process of malaria parasites in the body and is rich in iron. The parasites need iron(the blood tonic contains iron)for survival and so when iron supplements are taken.

They accumulate more in the liver and the parasites multiply. These parasites attack the red blood cell and destroy them and also causes inflammatory symptoms.

Vitamin C on the other hand ,whether gotten from fruits like orange, grapefruit,or tablet sold in pharmacies helps with the absorption of iron which goes mostly to the liver and blood.

This may be good for a patient who has anaemia as it helps to build up blood in the body but it is detrimental to people who have malaria.

Also vitamin c helps young malaria parasites to grow to maturity in the body.
