What do you know about the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi? Enjoy his wonderful biography

It is no longer news that the former governor of Oyo state Senator Abiola Ajimobi has passed on. Of course everybody will experience death, however, may we not leave so soon.

The late Senator Abiola Ajimobi was said to have started his educational journey at Saint Patrick Primary School, Oke -Padre, Ibadan and Saint Patrick, Abebi ICC Primary School, Ibadan, Oyo state. He proceeded to Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, and after his secondary school education, he moved to Finance State University New York, where he studied Business Administration. He later went further to earn a Master of Science (MBA) degree, at Governor State University, Illinois.

Before venturing into politics, Senator Abiola Ajimobi worked in several companies which include: Nestle food Plc, Shell, etc. Senator Ajimobi has always been a diligent servant, and this helped him a lot in getting to the top of his career very early in life.

As at 1979, he had already rose to the position of a divisional manager at the National oil and chemical marketing company. He became the executive - director Marketing oil and Chemical Marketing company in 1998, and in 2001, he became the Managing director National oil and Chemical Marketing company. 

Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi became a Senator of the Federal republic of Nigeria in 2003, and participated in the 2007 governorship election under the platform of All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP).

He became the governor of Oyo state in 2011 under the platform of of Action Congress of Nigeria, and was reelected in 2015 under the platform of All Progressives Congress, making him the first governor to serve the good people of Oyo state twice. 

He was the the deputy national chairman of the All Progressives Congress until his demise on 25th day of June, 2020.

He was a proud father of five and a loving husband to his wife chief Mrs. Florence Ajimobi. He died in Lagos state at the age of 70.
