On Monday, SaharaReporters had been informed by a credible source close to the ex-governor that Ajimobi had been on life support machine since he fell into a deep coma and could not make any recovery from the medical experts' observations around him.
The source further disclosed that after being rushed to the Lagos hospital, the former Oyo governor had had a lung operation but made no improvement, while his kidneys had collapsed.
Doctors treating Ajimobi, it was gathered reliably, informed his family last Friday that his situation had defied every medical intervention and that only a miracle could restore him to life.
These predictions came true on Thursday as the ex-governor eventually succumbed to the virus that also killed many prominent Nigerians including late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, who was also treated at First Cardiology Hospital for the disease before he died.
