Ansu Fati to Manchester United? Player’s father reveals startling things

Ansu Fati is widely regarded as one of the promising and talented youngsters around ,world football currently. After impressive showings throughout the course of the season, the Spanish Under-21 international is linked with a ,move to Manchester united in the summer.

Ansu Fati debuted for Barcelona back in August, having through their famed youth set-up. Since then, the 17-year-old has gone on to score six times in 26 appearances and has featured often for the first team. As per reports impressed by the work he has done so far, United officials are planning for a summer move for the youngster, as they continue re-building their squad. Now Fati’s father Bori Fati, has come out and ridiculed his son’s move to the Old Trafford, insisting on every player’s desire, to return to Camp Nou once they leave. He told Cadena Ser, “Ansu can’t be a starter at Barca right now.”

“I’ve always been happy since my son is at Barca … I know nothing about Manchester United. Ansu and I are comfortable here in Barcelona. Everyone that, leaves Barca then wants to come back”. That almost confirms ,his stay at Catalonia for the time being.

Earlier this month Barca’s director Xavier Vilajoana ,also made similar sort of comments regarding the, teenager’s future and tipped him to become “an important player in the coming years.”

“For us, there’s no story with Ansu, we have never spoken about selling him. We won’t use players from the academy to make cash. In principle, we have no intention of selling the players we believe will make the first team,” Vilajoana stated.

Ansu Fati came on as a substitute in Barca’s mid-week game against Athletic Bilbao, to help secure them a narrow 1-0 victory over the Basque club. He will have ,an opportunity to win the La Liga, title in his breakout season as la Blaugrana are still equal, in points with table toppers Real Madrid and sitting on second only virtue of their head-to-head record. They travel to face Celta Vigo next on Saturday.
