Covid-19 : 566 new cases in Nigeria, 25133 in total

According to the report from the Nigeria Center for Disease Control ( NCDC), 566 persons have been tested positive for the Covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria on the 29th of June, 2020.

The agency, through her twitter account @NCDCgov, reported that as at 29th of June, 573 persons have been killed by the Covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria. Nevertheless, 9402 persons have been tested negative for the virus, and they have been discharged by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

As a result of the new 566 cases, the total number of persons who have been tested positive for Covid-19 in Nigeria has increased to 25133.

It should be noted that the country recorded 779 cases on the 27th of June, while 490 cases were reported on the 28th of June. However, with the addition of the new 566 reported cases on the 29th day of June, 1835 cases were reported in the country within three days.

The breakdown of the 566 cases of the Covid-19 pandemic is given below:

"Lagos state - 166, Oyo state -66, FCT -26, Delta state -53, Ebonyi state -43, Plateau state -34, Info state -32, Ogun state - 25, Edo state - 24, Imo state -15, Bayelsa state -13, Benue state -12, Gombe state - 11, Kano state - 11, Kaduna state - 11, Osun state -8, Nasarawa state - 7, Born state -5, Kastina state -2, Anambra state -2".
