Dubai-based flamboyant Nigerian Instagram celebrity Raymond Igbalodely popularly known as Ray Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai by International Police (Interpol) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for allegedly hacking into the United States (US) unemployed database and impersonating citizens qualified for unemployment funds.

Newly established fact by the FBI states that they had been monitoring the actions of Hushpuppi and his cohorts for several months before eventually stepping into to make their arrest.

According to them, Hushpuppi has defrauded about 1.9 million people of their hard earned money. The sum of money he has gotten from his illegitimate business as reported by the FBI is about 1.6 Billion Dirhams which when converted to Naira is approximately 169 Billion Naira.

This is the source of all the wealth he used to flaunt up and down on Instagram while shaming others that are working legitimately to earn their living.

His usually takes swipes at the Nigerian government claiming that the youth are not standing up to the government. That they are not concerned about better lifestyles for themselves.

Many youths of today who have also ventured into cybercrime can largely be attributed to have been influenced by him. Some even see him as a role model.

Before now, the exact source of his wealth could not be determined, many speculated it was fraud but there was no solid evidence to back it up.

Now however, it seems he has finally bitten more than he could chew.
