'Women are not properties! Bride price should be scrapped,' Actress Toni Tones argues
Media personality and Nollywood actress, Gbemi Anthonia Adefuye, aka Toni Tones, has said that bride price culture should be scrapped.
She stated that the reason for that is because women are not properties and are not meant to be sold.

"Scrap bride culture. Women are not properties to be sold," she tweeted.
It could be recalled that in the same vein, a Nigerian feminist, Rene Ahmed, who was once married, said that no one would pay her bride price ever again.
Toni Tones is also a media personality and photographer. She studied marketing and economics at the University of Lancaster in the UK. She has appeared as an actor in the web TV series "Gidi-culture", in several films including " It's Her Day" in 2016. She also starred in the movie "King of Boys" as the younger Eniola Salami. The movie premiered on 21 October 2018.
