Just In: Imasuagbon Reveals The Reason Why He Stepped Down For Obaseki; Claim It Wasn't Under Duress
View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Kenneth Imasuagbon has finally revealed why he stepped down for Governor Obaseki to represent the Peoples Democratic Party in the on coming governorship elections in Edo state.
It could be recalled that Imasuagbon had proven difficult and stubborn initially, but all of a sudden, the news broke out that he has finally stepped down for Obaseki who recently joined the party after defecting from the All Progressive Congress, due to his disqualification by a screening committee. However, according to a YouTube video, and a voice call published by Channels TV, Imasuagbon revealed his reasons why he stepped down for Obaseki. The YouTube video link is below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNyQUAWPzUY
Subsequently, the Journalist asked him what transpired that led him to step down for Obaseki, and he replied saying that he didn't step down under duress, and that politics as we all know is a game.
He went on to say that he stepped down in the interest of the party and Edo state, because the party needed to be stronger and take over the state once again. He also said that although he has always been stopped by the godfathers in the state from achieving his dreams, it was just time to stop them this time.
He was then asked why he disagreed at first if he knew all this were important. He then went further to say that it was the normal norm for him to react that way, and that when he further visioned Obaseki, that he saw that Obaseki's content is pure and that he is a performing governor who is only being distracted by the godfathers. He addef that everything is done for the survival of democracy.
