Recall that it was reportedly revealed that the Niger High commission building in Ghana was destroyed by a man who claimed to be the owner of the land on which the building was erected.
The demolision act sent chills down the spine of some Nigerians who were left bewildered by the man's action. Nigerians in their wildest dreams could never have imagined that Ghana can actually destroy the Nigerian embassy in their country.
However, Nigeria and Ghana has reached a conclusion concerning the demolished building, and it is one that will interest the country, though the damage has been done already.
According to reports concerning the demolished building in the Nigeria High Commission in Accra, Ghana has promised Nigeria that they will rebuild the building and make sure everything is back to normal.
This new update was brought to the notice of the public by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, today being Thursday, June 25th, 2020.
Onyeama in his statement revealed that Nigeria and Ghana has reached an agreement and that their African neighbour will be rebuilding the demolished Nigerian building in their country.
The Minister also expressed his satisfaction with the steps taken by Ghana on the issue, noting that it was a noble act fit them to assume full responsibility for the demolished building.
However, the minister was not happy with the Nigerian officials in Ghana, because of the role they played in escalating the issues.
It was reportedly revealed that the Nigerian officials failed to obtain the necessary documents for the land on which the building was erected, despite buying the property since the year 2000.
