COVID-19: NCDC Reports 779 Newly Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 As Total Exceeds 24 000

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) reported 779 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 via it's Twitter page on Saturday night, 27th of June.

The new report brings the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 24,077, the number of discharged people had risen to 8,625 while 558 deaths are on record.

It is worthy to note that there 127,158 samples have been tested. There are presently 14,894 active cases in the country.

Lagos still remains the epicenter of the virus with the highest number of cases, 285 new cases were reported from the state.

The state is followed by Rivers with 68 new cases. FCT and Edo recorded 60 cases respectively.

There are 56 new cases in Enugu, 47 in Delta, and 42 in Ebonyi. Oyo recorded 41while Kaduna had 19 new cases.

Ogun recorded 18 new cases, Ondo had 16, Imo 12, and Sokoto 11. Born had 9, Nasarawa with 8 cases, Abia, Gombe, and Kebbi shared 5 cases each.

Kano had 4 new cases, 3 new cases in each of Yobe and Ekiti, and finally 2 in Osun State.


Lagos, FCT, and Oyo are now the states with the highest number of confirmed cases. Ekiti, Taraba, and Kogi, on the other hand, remain the states with the lowest number of confirmed coronavirus cases.

what i am sure of is that what ever figure we will have, it will not exceed the figure of our total population. by the time we won't have figure to count, what we will have the following day will be zero case.

Nigeria population is about 200m and we can not exceed that figures in the covid 19 infected.
