According to the latest transfer gossip coming out of Italy, Cengiz Under is a target for Manchester United as much as he is for Arsenal.
The Turkish international has been at AS Roma since 2017 when he joined them as the most expensive signing from the Turkish league at that time.
He has had an inconsistent few years with the Italians, but he has always attracted the attention of Premier League teams including both United and Arsenal according to Turkish-Football citing Corriere dello Sport.
Roma has been reluctant to sell him before now, but after his poor season that has been ravaged by injuries, the report claims that they will listen to offers for his signature.
The same report also claims that he has been valued a £27m, a fee that shouldn’t be a problem for both Arsenal and Manchester United to pay.
The Gunners have built a reputation for signing young players and turning them into better players.
While Under has struggled in Rome, Mikel Arteta might become the manager who helps the 22-year-old reach his full potential.
The Gunners have already started their summer business after they handed new deals (Arsenal.com) to Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares. They also agreed to a new one-year deal with David Luiz whilst extending the contract of Dani Ceballos.

Arsenal are reportedly planning to offload Mesut Ozil during the summer transfer window, despite the German’s playmaker to see out the final year of his deal.
The 31-year-old has endured a turbulent campaign in North London giants and was not involved in the Gunners midweek defeat to Manchester City and has spent all 90 minutes on the bench against Brighton.
Ozil had enjoyed a consistent run in the first team since the arrival of Mikel Arteta, having often been frozen out when previous manager Unai Emery was at the helm, however, the Gunners are supposedly hoping to ship out the German playmaker as they prepare for a financially-restricted overhaul ahead of the next season.
According to ESPN, Arsenal are keen to cut Ozil’s £350,000 per week salary off of their wage bill amid financial woes arising from the pandemic.
However, the report also suggests that former Real Madrid star is determined to remain at the Emirates Stadium and fight for his place in Arteta’s starting XI, despite only founding back of the net once and providing two assists in the 2019-20 Premier League campaign.
The ex-Real Madrid midfielder has amassed 44 goals from 254 games for Arsenal since arriving at the Emirates Stadium back in 2013, and Fenerbahce are believed to be keeping a close eye on Ozil’s situation.

Arsenal have reportedly joined their London rivals, Chelsea, in showing an interest in Brentford attacker Said Benrahma.
The Algeria international has took part in 17 goals and assists in the Championship this campaign, leading to talk that he could be on his way to the Premier League.
The Blues are believed to be leading the way for Benrahma’s services, having supposedly already opened initial talks with his agent.
However, reports in Italy claims that Arsenal are also now in the mix to secure the services of the 24-year-old, forward who is valued in the region of £36m by Brentford.
Benrahma, also previously rumoured with a switch to Aston Villa and West Ham United, is under contract with the Bees until 2022.
Chelsea and Arsenal also considering a summer move for another forward Dries Mertens, Belgian attacker has been tipped with a departure from the Stadio Sao Paolo and Premier League thought to be his favoured destination.
Meanwhile, La Liga giants Real Madrid forward Lucas Vazquez could reportedly yet stay at Santiago Bernabeu this summer despite rumours linking him with a switch to Chelsea and Arsenal.
The 28-year-old has struggled for regular first-team football during the 2019-20 season, starting just six games in the Spanish top-tier and contributing just three goals for Zinedine Zidane’s side.
The Blues have recently been credited with a strong interest in the Spaniard amid rumoured that Los Blancos have made him available for transfer ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Cedric Soares has yet to play for Arsenal since he signed on loan in January. This has mainly been due to injury but it seems like the Gunners rate the defender as it has recently been announced that he has signed a deal at the club.
Arsenal announced today that Cedric has joined on a permanent deal from fellow Premier League side Southampton. Speaking to the club’s official website, Gunners technical director Edu said: “Cedric is also going to be an important player. He has been unlucky with the injuries but he is close to being ready and gives us more strength in the right-back position.”
The Portuguese international was going to be a free agent in the summer but the Londoners have now secured him on a free transfer.
Even though he hasn’t played for the Gunners yet, the 28 year-old is a proven Premier League defender after making 138 appearances for the Saints, per Transfermarkt.
Hector Bellerin is currently the only right-back at the club and has not been playing particularly well since football returned. This has been highlighted by the 6.7 rating he received from SofaScore against Brighton at the weekend, the second lowest among Mikel Arteta’s side that day.
This emphasises that a right-back is desperately needed and being able to pick up an experienced player on a free looks a clever deal by the club. Hopefully Cedric can start to challenge Bellerin soon and get some game-time to provide Arsenal with much-needed squad depth in defence.
