Liverpool's fans flock to Anfield to celebrate premier league title (see photos)

Thousands of Liverpool fans have gathered to celebrate the club's first league title in 30-years .

Supporters set-off flares and fireworks after Chelsea's 2-1 win against Manchester City gave the Reds the premier league title.

Within half an hour of the results , about 2,000 fans had gathered outside the stadium with some celebrating above the players' entrance.

No attempt was made to disperse the crowd by the police officers at the ground.

It's is Liverpool's 19th top-flight and their first since 1989/90 , when sir Kenny Dalglish led them to victory .

Jürgen Klopp's side needed one victory to seal the league , but man city's failure means they cannot be caught.

Outside the famous Kop end of Anfield thousands more fans gathered through out the night , with some climbing on walls , bins and the roof of the merchandise stand .

Liverpool fans have waited nervously for this moment , as the league was halted for three months , due to the coronavirus pandemic.
