Message To All 2020 Jamb Candidate
Jamb candidates were privileged to have their exam done, before the coronavirus pandemic broke out.
However, it's well known that, it's only jamb exam, that's required to secure your admission into higher institutions.
Other factors are included, and it should be noted that only one single mistake can deny you of gaining admission.
Over the years, we've heard of recorded cases of candidates scoring high in WAEC and Jamb and still being denied of admission, and at the end of the day, they put the blame on Jamb or unfair treatment on the part of the institution they chose.
It should note that, securing your admission into higher institution, requires you to put every single thing in place, and not leaving any stone in untouched.
Lots of reasons contributes to why some candidates are being denied of admission, which shall talk about some now.
1) Late release of 0'level result: Some candidates do make use of awaiting result, to register for their Jamb, expecting that after the release of their O'level result they will be able to upload it.
It does work for some, while it doesn't, as sometimes WAEC do withhold some result, for clarification on exam malpractice, by the time the result will be fully released their school of choice might have close portal for uploading of result.
So it's always advisable, that if you have any result at hand, upload while you await the new one you want to write.
2) Data error: There are some cases, where there will be errors in name arrangement on candidates profile, whereby there will be a different name on jamb database, and your school also will have a different name on their database, it's of utmost importance that if you have any corrections to make, you should do it now.
3) New cut off mark after post utme or screening: most times aspirant, will judge their chances of gaining admission based on the previous year cut off mark, and after their post utme or screening, the school will increase the cut off mark and there may not be opportunity for them again, to change their institution.
So it's always advisable Fri candidates to make sure they are like 10 scores above the departmental cut off mark for the previous year on whichever course they choose, as that will increase their chances of gaining admission. View pictures in App save up to 80% data.
