Herbalist And Two Other Suspected Armed Robbers In Ogun Have Been Arrest By SARS

Police said the suspect were the ones who had escaped arrest earlier when Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives stormed their hideout at Mowe's Adesan district.
According to the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspects, Saheed Bello, the gang leader, and Sadiq Bello, were traced to the Ibadan Academy area , based on intelligence investigations begun by SARS operatives led by CSP Tijani Mohammed, adding that they were promptly apprehended.

Things recouped from them, as indicated by Oyeyemi, were one locally-made single-barrelled gun and five live cartridges.

DAILY POST recalls that the SARS operatives had previously arrested four members of the gang on 7 June, while those recently arrested escaped.
But, Kenneth Ebrimson, the Ogun State police commissioner, reportedly launched a serious manhunt for them, leading to their arrest.
"In the meantime, the Ogun State Police Commissar has launched a thorough investigation into the suspects' past activities with a view to charging them to trial once the investigation is completed."
