Gender transformation allowing men and women to discuss and decide on health, when that may not typically be the case, is the gold standard. Dr Peju Olukoya, coordinator of the Integrating Gender into Public Health unit in WHO’s Department of Gender, Women and Health.

Mei-z 5 months ago This is the super prayer of protection. Psalm 91 1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. 9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Reply

Lord Jesus, I pray for everyone who is sick (everywhere …including Wuhan), so that he/she can get Your holy healing and Your great amazing grace. Healed from the sin & healed from the disease. For all things are possible in Jesus name.

Cynthia Nhlapo, deputy director of the Gender Focal Point for the department of health, said that the South African government supports such initiatives that work with men. “Men have to be engaged in dialogue and activities that promote gender equality and social justice,” Nhlapo told the Bulletin.

Finally, the highly gendered nature of employment in all societies translates into men being more exposed to occupationally related morbidity and mortality than women. In 2010, almost 750 000 men died from occupationally related causes, as opposed to just over 102 000 women.4 In Europe, 95% of fatal accidents and 76% of non-fatal accidents at the workplace are experienced by men.11 In the United States of America, the occupations with the highest risk of fatal occupational injury, such as mining, agriculture and fishing, employ far more men than women.12

Please, let your mercy prevail over judgment on China. Turn the circumstances in Wuhan and other cities of China to one that will exalt your name above all else. Strengthen the family in Wuhan and China as a whole. Preserve them, shield them, uphold them, be merciful and gracious upon them and above all, let your name be honoured in Wuhan, in China and in the world, in Jesus mighty name, Amen!!!

Global, regional and national health and development agencies could certainly learn from the success of civil society groups in promoting policies that target men. For example, the South African non-profit organization Sonke Gender Justice successfully pushed the government to add interventions targeting men within South Africa’s national HIV strategic plan. The charity Men’s Health Forum (England and Wales) was instrumental in persuading the government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to extend the national chlamydia screening programme to cover young people of both sexes rather than primarily women.

Please do not politicize the situation in Wuhan based upon your own political views. Please, lets set these to the side and lets join with our brothers and sisters in Wuhan in prayer. Lets examine our own lives and hearts and come before the Lord in repentance from our own sins, so that God will begin to heal our lands and cleans us from the sins we have fallen into. This is the time to stand as one with our brothers and sisters in China!

This season of mercy, God will shower you and your family with abundant mercy. What man has called impossible, because of your advantage in GOD, they are made possible. Thank GOD for answered all your prayers,in Jesus name!!! From Nigeria

Overall, 29% of the 58 programmes worldwide were assessed as effective, 38% as promising and the remaining 33% as unclear. “This is a positive finding although we had expected more of the programmes to be effective. However, we did set the criteria for categorizing the programmes rather stringently,” Olukoya told the Bulletin.

Opinion: Putting the foxes at Tönnies in charge of the hen house? Two districts in Westphalia are under lockdown because of the actions of one company. Tönnies may be Europe's largest meatpacker, but something has to be done, says Miodrag Soric.
