Charles Arthur Floyd whose nickname was Pretty Boy Floyd, was an American bank robber. 

He was born on February 3rd, 1904 in Adairsville, Georgia.

Floyd is known as a gangster and a bank robber by the government of America but he was known as a generous man who set poor people free from their debts, by destroying papers of their debts in mortgage banks.

He troubled the government of America to the point that the government placed $5000.00 reward on anyone who could help find him, either dead or alive.

He operated in the West and Central states, and his criminal exploits gained widespread press coverage in the 1930s. 

Pretty Boy Floyd was later sentenced to 15 years in prison after he was arrested of which he later escaped.

He was pursued and killed in October 22, 1934 at the age of 30 by a group of Bureau of Investigation agents led by Melvin Purvis in the East Liverpool, Ohio.
