Amid a high rate of fire incidents on the Kara Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing is expected to conduct an integrity check on the bridge.

The check will take place between Saturday, 27 June and Sunday, 28 June 2020, according to a notice from the Federal Controller Olukayode Popoola.

I think some bridges in the state of Lagos will need this check as well. This is a good government plan to make people's lives safe. Since there are a lot of rivers in the city

Nonetheless, this check should be as routine as my suggestion. This will improve the opportunity to know the condition of the bridges in the big city.

Another opinion of mine is that officers who conduct all of the tasks or assessments should also be checked for efficacy and performance.
