Covid-19 Update: NCDC reports 649 new cases in Nigeria, 22020 in total

 The latest report from the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), shows that 649 new persons have contracted the novel Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control maintains that on the 24th day of June, 9 persons were killed by the deadly virus, making the total number of persons who have been killed by the virus to increase to 542.

As a result of the 649 new cases, the total number of persons with Covid-19 in Nigeria has moved to 22020, however, 7613 persons have been tested negative for Covid-19, thus, 7613 persons have been discharged.

The following is the breakdown of the 649 new cases:  

"Lagos state -250, Oyo state -100, FCT -17, Plateau state -40, Delta state -40, Abia state -28, Kaduna state -27, Edo state -20, Akwa ibom state -18, Kwara state -17, Ogun state -22, Enugu state -14,  Niger state -13, Adamawa state -13, Bayelsa state -7, Osun state -5, Bauchi state -6, Anambra state, Sokoto state -2 etc."
