It was gathered that the robots would be used for passenger facilitation processes including profiling, check-ins, temperature checks, as well as detection of security threats and dangerous goods and arms.

Confirming the development, the General Manager, Corporate Affairs Commission, Henrietta Yakubu said that a test run of the robots was done at the Lagos Airport yesterday.

Meanwhile, the NIgerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, conducted a simulation flight ahead if the reopening of the country's airspace to commercial flights.

The flight was operated by Aero Contractors. It began from the Abuja Airport to the Lagos Airport and vice-versa.

Nigerian CIvil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is set to announce the date for the resumption of domestic operations anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have reacted to the news of our airports using robots as "audio". Some persons say it is another scam designed by the government to siphon public funds.
