Manchester United forward, Anthony Martial has broken two personal records, as he emerged the first Red Devils player since 2013 to score a hat-trick in a premier league match for the Manchester club.
Martial scored in the seventh minute of the game against Sheffield United on Wednesday, with and assist from Marcus Rashford, then double Man United's lead after 44 minutes, just before the closing minutes of the first half.
Upon resumption of the second half, the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side continue to press their visitors, efforts which lead to a third goal for the club on the night and a third for Martial.
The three goals now takes Martial tally to nineteen for the season in all competition. With Nineteen goals, Anthony has also broken his 2015-16 personal record of goal scoring.
Martial and Rashford had been in and out of the starting 11 during the 2018/19 campaign, and registered 10 league goals, with the 24-year-old scoring nine the previous season and just four during the 2016/17 campaign. No United player has scored a Premier League hat-trick since Robin van Persie in 2013
