Manchester United goalkeeper extends loan deal.
Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson will see out the season with Sheffield United.
Henderson who is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Sheffield United, currently on loan from fellow Premier League club Manchester United. He signed his first professional contract with United in 2015 and extended it in 2018 for further two years until 2022, but he has not played a first team game for the club, instead loaned out to a numerous teams. Having played in various lower divisions, he made his Premier League debut with Sheffield United in 2019.
Dean Henderson has been a key player for the Blades this term, keeping 11 clean sheets in 29 league appearances.
However Henderson's loan contract was set to expire at the end of the month but United have confirmed a loan agreement that will keep him at Bramall Lane until this Premier League campaign is completed.
The 23-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan at Bramall Lane, helping the Blades to promotion from the Championship. Nevertheless he has agreed to extend his stay at Sheffield United until this Premier League season is completed.
A Sheffield United statement read:
"Chris Wilder has finalised his squad for the remainder of the current extended Premier League campaign.
"Goalkeeper Dean Henderson will remain at Bramall Lane until the end of the season, after a deal was struck with Manchester United following prolonged discussions between the respective parties in recent weeks."
