The english club have been struggling to pose a real threat to the title challenge in the league since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013. Since that time they've changed managers a good 4 times ranging from David Moyes, Loius Van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and the incubent Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
Bad transfer decisions and inconsistency have played a.major role in the club's recent decline.
However, things look likely to change. The present manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer seems to bring along with him the Man United DNA.
He has signed some quality players like Bruno Fernandes, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Daniel James.
He has also been able to return the United tradition of belief in the youth system.
All these seem to be taking the club back to its place. The players are working harder, there is good player manager relationship and above all, there are players who are willing to play for the badge.
United's performances especially following the arrival of midfielder Bruno Fernandes, they are finally looking like a club with purpose.
Challenging for the title would a difficult one but they have to believe in themselves and their abilities and the midfield consisting of Bruno and Pogba will go a a long way to see them move in the right direction.
Only time will tell if they are able to stay consistent and return to the status they once were.
