Super Eagles and Lille of France striker, Victor Osimhen, has dedicated his Marc-Vivien Foe award to his late father, Pa Osimhen. Osimhen beat off competition from Super Eagles and Nantes winger, Simon Moses, Denis Bouanga, Andy Delort, Islam Slimani, Mbaye Niang, Hamari Traore and Edouard Mendy

Osimhen tweeted: "Grateful to God almighty. I dedicate this amazing award to my late father. Thanks to those who voted for me and also a big shoutout goes to Simon Moses and the rest of the nominees. Thank you once more."

The Marc-Vivien Foe award is given to the best African Player in the French Ligue 1. In his debut season in France, Osimhen played 38 games, scored 18 goals and had 6 assists across all competitions. No wonder he was named the Lille player of the season.

He becomes the second Nigerian to win the award since Vincent Enyeama

There have been speculations that he will leave France for England to sign for Tottenham or Arsenal.
