There has been a lot of controversy about the doctrine or teaching of eternal salvation, Many Pastor have opposed the doctrine of eternal salvation calling it satanic and heresy.
They claimed that once saved can never be forever saved, they asserted that man can loose his salvation if he refused to keep it.
Whereby some sect of pastors have also claimed that once saved, forever saved is biblical and is well established in the scripture.
They asserted that salvation is not man made, it's Christ made, God gave man salvation through his sacrifice on a cross, so man can not loose what he doesn't work but earn by grace.
The writer opinion
The concept of salvation should be well explained and thoroughly taught in the Church today, many believers don't know that got saved in Christ, they believe salvation is man made, as in they must work out their salvation for them to be saved.
So if our salvation will be worked out by us for us to be saved then what's the essence of the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Salvation is a gift by God that he gave us himself, so there is no boasting.
So salvation is God showing his love through Christ Jesus for the man kind.
Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Since it's not earned can it be lost?
Can God collect what he gave freely?
Romans 5:8-11 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
