On Monday 29, June, the federal government of Nigeria through delegated authorities announced the approval of reopening of interstate movement as well as schools resumption.
Mr Boss Mustapha, who doubles as the chairman of of the PTF and the secretary to the Government of the federation SGF, on Monday announced the development while observing the daily nationwide briefing on COVID-19.
The PTF submitted their 5th Interim report to the president and the presidency gave a nod to most of the recommendations. Mustapha revealed that from July 1st, interstate movement can happen outside the curfew hours - 10pm to 5am. Schools have also been approved to reopen for students in Primary 6, JSS3, and SSS3. This is to allow the students prepare for their promotional exams.
As the country takes a step further towards normalization, citizens are advised to take responsibility by adhering to all precautions advised by experts. The guidelines include use of face mask, frequent washing of hands, and keeping of safe distance.
