Biography of Nollywood Actress, Late Bose Shafkat Adewoyin ' Madam Tinubu'

Although the cause of her death was not revealed, Shafkat Adewoyin Bose, who is popularly known as Madam Tinubu in the movie ‘EFUNROYE TINUBU’ died on Tuesday. So sad to loose another Screen Veteran.

Adewoyin who was on the contingent of the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture that performed Funmi Odusolu’s famous dance musical ‘ORÍ’ (Destiny), was buried at about 4pm on Tuesday.

Adewoyin started her acting career at a young age. She was also a dancer and costumier.

Madam Tinubu would later costume many plays for stage and screen while she also acted along. She was a complete actress, both on stage and on screen.

She acted as 'Mama Oni Mama' alongside Adebayo Salami in Funke Akindele’s “Omo Ghetto”.

Until her death, Bose Adewoyin was a staff of the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture, where she had participated in many editions of the National Festival of Arts and Culture, NAFEST. She also took part in many of the council’s plays and dance productions

The actress got popular for her role as Madam Tinubu in ‘EFUNROYE TINUBU’ written by Professor Akinwumi Isola and directed by Gbenga Adewusi in 1989.

Adewoyin acted in many stage plays, notable among them is ‘ORÍ’ (Destiny) and also acted as ‘Mama Oni Mama alongside Adebayo Salami in Funke Akindele’s “Omo Ghetto". 

The actress was until her death a staff member of the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture.

According to the Guardian, she was buried according to Islamic rites.
