Ajimobi: Tribute To Another Selfless Nigerian Icon
This Thursday evening, there has been reports from multiple sources about the death of a political tycoon, businessman and senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, Sen Abiola Ajimobi, the former executive governor of Oyo state from complications he got while treating the deadly Covid-19.
Indeed the loss of Senator Abiola Ajimobi is not only to people of Oyo state but to all Nigerians. Until his death, senator Ajimobi was an icon of peace for his selfless service to the people of Oyo and Nigeria at large. Ajimobi was a bridge builder that won the hearts of many people even from his political opponents. He's one of the most educated governors in Nigeria during his term in office. He contributed and debated for many bills in the Senate that will transform the lives of his people.

Before his death, senator Ajimobi was pronounced the acting chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) when he was in hospital battling for his life. On Thursday 25th June, president Muhammad Buhari dissolved the national working committee of the APC and constituted a caretaker committee under the chairmanship of the Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni.
