Satan wants nothing more than to penetrate other aspects of your life so that he can establish a foothold. He 's going to do something to drive you out of the middle. To distract you from your concentration and make you useless for the Kingdom of God.
And I agree that there are specific places he is targeting – not only in women, but in all of us. As long as we are mindful of his tactics, we will be on guard to keep him out of his goal entry points.
Satan attacks us in a number of ways. Here are the five aspects of your life that Satan tries to reach.
1. Your heart – so it’s not God’s alone.
There is a reason why God's Word tells us: "Take heed to your heart above all else, for all you do flows out of it" (Proverbs 4:23).
Satan knows that he has a point of entry into your life if God is not the first in our hearts. The first commandment of Christ, set out in the Old Testament, was, "You shall have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:3).
And Jesus restated it under the New Covenant, when He was asked what was the greatest commandment, and replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your power, and with all your mind" (Luke 10:27).
Satan's greatest desire is to keep you from giving all your heart to God. And he's going to continually dangle men, stuff, and desires in front of you. Something to confuse you so that a false god may be erected in front of you. Often you don't even know that you've got it. He's going to try to tempt you with a false god like your career, a girlfriend or love interest, a dream or objective, a hobby or a lifestyle.
I know a lot of women whose first love is their bodies, so they spend more time working out in the gym than letting God work inside.
It's a quiet way to learn to love more than God. Many of us love food , money, leisure, children, content, or "feeling" (like being in love or feeling energetic) more than God, Himself.
Keep your heart by holding Christ on the throne of your universe, so that Satan will not try to put anything else in there.
2.Your worries – to make you doubt God’s love and provision.
Satan needs you to fear, because then you don't trust in the power of God to take care of you. Women continue to worry about time – bills that have to be paid, whether or not a man comes into our lives, whether we should have a child, what anyone thinks about us, how our body looks, and so on.
Men continue to worry about work, provide for their families, and whether or not they "make cuts" in a variety of areas of life.
Then there are health issues, worries for our elderly parents, and other conditions that can overshadow God's peace in our lives and even make us begin to blame God for our circumstances.
Don't let Satan enter this door with his sorrowful "what if? "The questions and suspicions that he weaves into your mind.
Please keep praying about your concerns. Keep thanking God for what He's about to do. Do so so that Satan will not have a foothold over your minds by your doubts and fears.
3:Your everyday thinking – so you’re just like the world.
It's incredible how many people claim to know God and worship Him, but their thought habits are just like those of everyone else in the world.
It is what Satan wants. He needs you to be so lost in the ways of the world that you don't know what God's Word means.
He 's going to do so through subtle messages in song lyrics, quotes from your favorite celebrity, and words of advice from friends. (Even your mates who are christians, but who quote "verses" that are not in the Bible).
The Bible tells us, "Do not imitate the actions and practices of this world, but let God turn you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect His will is "(Romans 12:2).
In addition, the Word of God states, "Base your thoughts on what is true and noble and right. Dream of stuff that are pure and lovely and beautiful. Think of stuff that are outstanding and deserving of praise ... and the God of goodwill will be with you "(Philippians 4:8-9).
Yet Satan would rather see us in mental torment by listening to the world than the word of God. Hold your everyday thoughts by soaking it up in the Scriptures. It's the only way to prevent Satan and his sinful philosophies from joining.
4. Your speech – so you tear others apart.
God needs us to be holy mouthpieces for Him – men who cure and support us with our voices. But Satan would rather let you and me blast this big time with our mouths.
Here are a few critical words. There are a few complaints. Some profanity mixed in with a little gossip on the side, and we gave him permission to make us people who are tearing others apart. And we don't sound any different (and even worse) than the unbelievers.
Satan knows that we will do a lot of harm to our mouths if we don't put them under God's protection.
If it's gossip, criticism or unkind words, our mouths may be instruments of virtue or injustice. Open the door to Satan, by adding it all.
Instructions of God in Ephesians 4:29: "Let no evil talk come out of your mouth, but only that which is helpful in building others up according to their needs, that it may serve those who listen"
1 Thessalonians 5:18 states, "Give thanks in all things; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus."
Be a verbally grateful person who just talks to raise others up, not to knock them down. It will weaken and destroy the negative and cynical spirit that gives Satan a foothold in our lives.
