Liverpool are no doubt one of the best Clubs in Europe at the moment, with the club almost going unbeaten throughout the season before the corona virus break.

However, the club is keen to add more quality players to the side, in a bid to maintain their good form and improve on other areas of the team.

But according to reports from the Daily star news,Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe would need to earn his spot in the starting XI at Liverpool if he joins.

The reds boss Jurgen kloop had to distance the club from a move for the PSG forward after rumours begun to swirl earlier in the season, but Bruce Grobbelaar thinks he would still have to prove his worth.

The 21-year-old World Cup winner has scored 90 goals in 120 appearances for his current side since his move from Monaco in 2017, and has already won four Ligue 1 titles and scored 13 times for France.

Grobbelaar, who won the first division six times during his spell at Anfield between 1981 and 1994, reckons Mbappe could take nothing for granted should be join the English champions.

"Well, if he comes to Anfield he's going to have to prove his worth up front for sure. And that's only if and when he comes," Grobbelaar said in an interview with Stats Perform News

"We do not know what the circumstances is. It will be up to Klopp and FSG who will reveal something probably in the new season.

"But whoever comes to Anfield, as you see with Takumi Minamino, he's going to have to improve a hell of a lot more to get into the side."

Grobbelaar then went on to praise the balance of the current side after their title heroics, before adding that players who don’t want to join the club should ‘see a doctor’.

The squad is brilliant at this stage, it's up to FSG and the Klopp advisers that are going to determine whether those players go or remain,” Grobbelaar continued.

“I, for one, think they will be going because they want first team football.

"Listen, at this moment in time every player wants to come and play for Liverpool because we're the Premiership title holders and anybody who doesn't must go to see the doctor very quickly, because we are the best team and we will be the best team for so many years."

Klopp said when asked about the future of Kylian Mbappe back in December: “I don’t see any club at the moment who can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG.

"I don’t see any club, that is how it is. And we are involved in the clubs that cannot do it. It is as easy as that.

“OK, from a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign him.

"What a player he is. But it is about the money of course. No chance".

Would you love to see Mbappe at Liverpool next season?
