✓Hand grater or food processor

✓Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth

✓Glass container (jar, bottle or dish) with cover

✓Pan or pot (for heat method)

Carrot Oil Ingredients

✓Oil of choice (olive, coconut, sunflower, or sesame oil) enough to cover carrots

Cold Press Method (Preferable but takes time)

1. Wash, clean and grate your carrots.

2. Put the gratings in your glass container that has a cover.

3. Pour your oil of your choice to completely cover the carrots.

4. Cover tightly.

5. Keep the mixture out where sunlight can easily reach it. Leave for two weeks, stirring every three days.

4. Now, sieve to obtain your cold press carrot oil.

Heat Method

1. Wash, peel and grate your carrots.

2. Put in a pan/pot and heat until gratings are tender and the oil has turned orange.

3. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

4. Sieve to obtain your carrot oil and store in your glass container.
