Dubai police released a video of how they arrested the Instagram celebrity Ramoni Igbolade Popularly known as Hushpuppi. They showed a detailed video of how they arrested the cyber hacker in a tweet, they said they arrested him and Olalekan Jacob Ponle also known as Woodberry with ten other African cyber criminals for a special operation called"Fox hunt 2".

They were taken for crimes they committed which includes money-laundering, cyber fraud, hacking, scamming individuals, banking fraud, criminal impersonation and identify theft. Lt General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the commander in chief of Dubai police said the arrest of Hushpuppi, Woodberry and other ten members is another achievement they are proud to have recorded in the Dubai police. He also said operation "Fox hunt 2" is another painful hit to cybercriminals That are trying to mess with the world's security and safety.

Brigadier Jamal Salem Al Jallaf the director of criminal investigation department (CID) of Dubai police said as they received security intel on an African gang involving in money-laundering and internet manipulation, they formed an investigation team to track them down. After they were sure that the information gotten by the team was correct, they began tracking them down. The anti-cybercrime task force tracking the members detected their criminal activities as they create fake accounts on social media websites with fake nicknames, they hack cooperate emails to decieve clients to transfer money into their personal accounts.

The suspects were targeting abroad victims as they created fake websites of well-known companies and even banks, stealing peoples credit cards and withdrawing their money. The director of Dubai CID said from the raid, they have a planned document for a fraud worth $435 million. Dubai police said they seized more than$40.9 million cash money, 13 expensive cars worth $6.8 million, 21 computer devices, 45 smartphones, 15 memory stick, 5 hard disk containing 119,580 fraud files and the address of 1,926,400 victims.

After further investigation following the arrest, the Dubai police investigators discovered some sensitive information in the seized computers. They Futher disclosed that Hushpuppi is not the only Nigerian involved in internet manipulation. They said of recent a 32 years Nigerian enteprenuer Obinwanne Okeke pleaded guilty to charges of $11 million from internet manipulation in the united states.
