Having waited patiently to hear the briefing and instructions of the Presidential Task Force concerning how we can cope this period of corona virus, most Nigerians could not wait anymore for the government to ease the interstate lockdown so that those who might have been somewhere outside their homes could move wherever they may be, especially those in another state and the ease of the interstate lockdown could affect the reopening of schools. These have been bothering most Nigerians, especially finalists in various levels of education.
However, the Federal Government has decided to put a smile on the faces of Nigerians, especially travelers and students through the ease of interstate lockdown and the reopening of schools; the interstate movement would be outside the hours of curfew from 1st of July. These information was communicated to the public by the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, at the daily briefing of the task force on Monday in Abuja.
According to him, the reopening of schools is meant to allow final year students to resume and prepare for examinations. This recent developments were contained in the task force’s fifth interim report which was handed to the president, Muhammed Buhari, before the announcement.
