Governor Bagudu said President Muhammadu Buhari doesn't interfere in the running of the party but focuses on actualising the mandate given to him by Nigerians. 'President Muhammadu Buhari is happy that at last, we've one less distraction because Mr President is tuned in to the mandate given to him by Nigerians and even though he bothers lots about his party, but what dominates his daily action are economy, security, transparency and therefore the progress of Nigeria. Reacting to the report that some party members are not happy with the resolution of the party and have threatened court action, Bagudu dismissed it as media fabrication.

They raised fears that the issue which started from the rivalry between Governor Godwin Obaseki and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole can cause the party to implode, adding that the party is at the verge of retrogress by its obviously incompetent leadership.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) members said in a very joint letter to president Muhammadu Buhari: 'The flagrant misconduct of the current party leadership is curious, unacceptable and incurable. 'The party is also legendary for its nonchalance towards timely intervention and determination of internal party squabbles.'
