Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi was besieged on the morning of June 25 at her office at City Hall.
Information reaching the newsroom pointed to a scuffle that was sparked by a plan to impeach Speaker Elachi.
Nominated MCA June Ndegwa told Citizen TV that she was holed up in one of the offices in the county assembly.
She stated that at about 2am, she was informed that Guyo had recruited goons from Dandora and Shauri Moyo for the ouster operation.

“We came to the Assembly at 4.30am, only to find the place surrounded by many armed people,” she stated in a phone call with Trevor Ombija.
MCAs allied to Nairobi County Assembly Majority Leader Abdi Guyo staged a forceful take over.
Elachi stated that she had gone to the assembly to confirm the reports and was caught up in the drama.
The speaker also hinted that Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju did not support her.
A clerk of the assembly was arrested after a cache of weapons were found in his car.
He was then taken to Central Police Station to be booked and processed.
Police also lobbed teargas to disperse the armed goons as the MCAs holed up in the assembly switched off the lights.
MCA June Ndegwa stated that the move to eject Elachi had sparked from a tiff between the assembly and the Nairobi Metropolitan Services.
A section of MCAs want to terminate the deed of transfer of crucial functions that was signed between the national government and Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko.
“We who are supporting the transfer of functions are being victimised,” the MCA disclosed.
