The deputy President honorable William Ruto gave his advice concerning the reopening of the learning institutions. He said that it is not safe to rush into the matter of reopening schools at this moment because of the upward trend of the coronavirus cases in the country.

He added that it will not be fair to reopen the schools at this time because it will do a lot of injustice to many students because it will expose them to the virus. He also said that the reopening should be postponed until the time when there will be a vaccine for the virus.

The deputy President also added that what the country should be focusing on now is how the candidates can be allowed to get back to school so that they write the national exams because they are few and their numbers can be easily controlled and managed.
