Former CS Agriculture Mwangi Kiunjuri has refuted claims that Ruto is behind his decision to form The Service Party.
According to a publication by the Standard today, CS Kiunjuri has revealed that the decision to form his own party was independent and DP Ruto was not behind it.
This was after reports emerged that DP Ruto was behind Kiunjuri's Service Party which he claimed to be planning to use as his political vehicle in 2022 in case his wrangles with President Uhuru Kenyatta escalate.
DP Ruto has been slowly loosing grip of his own Jubilee party after Uhuru cracked a whip on key allies of DP Ruto after they were accused of undermining the President.
The purge began with Kipchumba Murkomen and Susan Kihika and last week the purge fell on Former majority National Assembly leader Aden Duale.
This has led to speculations that DP Ruto is secretly forming a new party with which he will contest for the Presidency in 2022 in case things remain as they are in the ruling party.
Didmus Baraza a key Ruto ally has also dismissed rumours going round that DP Ruto will use The Service Party and stated that Kiunjuri only formed the Service Party because he was left without a party after he dissolved his own GNP to form Jubilee Party only to be kicked out later.
