Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula has condemned the attack on Amani National Congress party offices in Kakamega.

Taking to his twitter account on Monday evening, the Wetang'ula, who in May got removed as the Ford Kenya Party leader, noted that those who burned the ANC Party offices should be arrested.

According to Wetang'ula, those who burned down ANC offices in Kakamega are known and should be arrested.

''The cowardly and criminal attack on ANC political party offices in Kakamega must be condemned in the strongest terms. These are intolerant and anti democratic forces that have no space in civility. It's not difficult to tell who is responsible. Arrest them,'' said Moses Wetang'ula.

According to various sources on Monday, unknown people broke into the ANC offices in Kakamega through the building window that houses ANC offices.

These people then poured a flammable substance inside the offices and lit fire on them. The fire destroyed documents in the office.

According to ANC’s Kakamega Chairman Julius Arunga, the building that houses the offices at Amalemba estate had no guard.

This made it easier for those who broke into their office easier. However, Mr. Arunga pointed out that adequate security measures will be taken to avoid such incidences from happening in future.

Investigations into the matter have been launched by the authorities.

This incidence comes barely a week after the party expelled Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala from the party.

Malala's expulsion caused some uproar among a section of residents in Kakamega.
