Sirisia MP John Waluke To Pay Sh594 Million or Be Jailed For 7 Years

Sirisia member of parliament will have to pay a fine of Kshs 594 Millions or risk a 7 years imprisonment. That was according to Milimani Law Courts chief magistrate Elizabeth Juma.

Sirisia MP was found guilty of defrauding National Cereal and Produce Board Kshs 313 millions by the court.

The defraud was carried by Erad Supplies and General Contracts Limited. 

The Sirisia member of parliament will lose his seat if he fails to raise the money.

The Sirisia member parliament spend 3 days at Kileleshwa police station alongside his co-director Grace Wakhungu as directed by Milimani Law Courts chief magistrate Elizabeth Juma.  View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

His lawyer Mr Harrison Havi had argued that the evidence being relied on was adequately dealt with during arbitration, and that it had been rejected by the court of appeal. View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

And in case he is Jailed, IEBC will have to arrange for a by election in Sirisia constituency in the next 90 days according to the constitution of Kenya.
