Mwangi Kiunjuri Reveals he Will Vie For Presidency 2022 Using his Party

Former Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has made it known that 2022 he will vie for the presidency using his newly lunched The Service Party.

Yesterday while accompanied by former Kiambu senatorial aspirant Karungo wa Thangwa and former nominate Nairobi County Assembly Wangui Ngang' a ,Kiunjuri termed his new party as a new changer in the political arena.

He said that the party will field candidate across the Country include Kahawa Wendani by-election once the IEBC announce the date.

The presence of Karungo on Wendani by-election will play a key role as he is known grassroots mobiliser as it was demonstrated during the 2017 general election.

While addressing the Media, Kiunjuri made it known that 2022, he will not contest for Laikipia gubernatorial seat as it has been speculated noting that he is aiming a senior post in the government.

"I want to make it clear that,2022 i will not contest for Laikipia gubernatorial seat as many people think, but i will contest for a more senior position in the government," Kiunjuri said.

If that is the case scenario, the presidential bid comes 2022 will attract a host of leaders, especially within the Mount Kenya region.

Already Peter Kenneth, William Kabogo, Mwangi Wa Iria and Kiunjuri are among those who have declared interest to inherit from president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Political pundits believe that Kiunjuri among other politicians might be using their political parties to campaign for the DP within the region.

They claim that Kiunjuri was fired by the president after he showed his close relationship with the deputy president William Ruto who has declared interest to contest for presidency come 2022.
