Waluke Risks Losing Parliamentary Seat as EACC Moves to Recover ksh.300 Million Fraud Money

Sirisia MP John Waluke and Grace Wakhungu’s goose is cooked after they were found guilty of corruption scandal worth over 300 million shillings. The scandal exposed how cartels have been exploiting the nation’s food crisis for their own gain. The anti-graft team now seeks to recover sh300 million from both MP John Waluke and Wakhungu.

“We will file for a recovery of the money from the assets they have accumulated. We will also freeze their accounts because they stole from the public,” Ethics and Anti Corruption Chief Executive Officer Twalib Mbarak assured one local publication.

Both of the accused are being held at Kileleshwa police station since they were found guilty on Monday. The courts will sentence them today, Thursday, June 25, 2020. may cost Waluke an ardent supporter of Deputy President William Ruto — his parliamentary seat if he is sentenced to more than six months.
