Work came to a standstill at Lessos town in Nandi county after residents took to the streets to protest over an alleged killing of a man by police officers.

According to first hand reports as recorded by Opera News, a heated argument is said to have ensued between the police officers and locals when one resident was arrested for no having a face mask.

It is reported that the man who was killed, resolved to rescue the arrested man by trying to negotiate with the killer cop to release the man. The situation, however, according to the witnesses, took a drastic turn when the police officer fired three gunshots killing the man instantly.
