ANC party leader Hon Musalia Mundavadi's sword lands on Kakamega Senator Hon. Cleophas Malala

Evpaul 06/26/2020

On Friday morning it was a day of no joy to the Kakamega senator Hon Cleophas Malala, after the governing council of the Amani national congress (ANC) resolved to expel him from the ANC party .

This comes as a surprise to the political arena where things seemed to be normal ,as the embattled senator lead the committee that attended to Kirinyaga Governor Ann Mumbi Waiguru's impeachment case.

Recently, the senator has been observed in several occasions supporting the government agendas in the senate, which includes the ouster of the former senate majority leader Hon Kipchumba murkomen and the former senate deputy speaker and Tharaka nithi senator Hon Prof. Kindiki.

According to sources , these might have triggered the party's decision ,bearing in mind that the ANC party leader Hon Musalia mundavadi has earlier been heard appealing to the government to declare ANC an official opposition party.

Another reason might be the recent Ford Kenya wars, which lead to the ouster of the Bungoma senator Hon Moses Masika Wetangula as the party leader , which sent fears to various political parties .

Hon Malala will now be expected to defend hin self before the ANC national governing council, in which if the council will not be satisfied by his defense, the embattled senator will lose his political seat as the Kakamega senator .

Whats your take on this. Do you think the kakamega senator should be expelled from the party? Kindly send your views on this .
