Cherangany Member of parliament Joshua Kutuny has condemned the Lesos police for allegedly killing a man.

It is alleged that a man by the name Tirop was trying to help a bodaboda operator who was arrested by police officers for not wearing facemasks that's when the police shot and brutally murdered him.

Through his official Facebook page kutuny condemned the police brutality saying police are supposed to protect and not to injure Kenyans.

"Police brutality is slowly becoming a chronic disease in our nation, it's sad and unfortunate to see some rogue police officers who are supposed to protect the live of Kenyans being first go take away same lives," said the Cherangany Jubilee party member of parliament.

He said that the police are supposed to arrest and arraign suspects in court and not brutally murdering them just because of not putting on a facemask.

"The law is clear, arrest and arraign in court, some Kenyans do not afford even a single meal during such a hard time and you find a well trained officer ignorantly shooting to kill because of not putting on a mask, really? So kenyans should take care of police or take care of Corona? Because both look deadly.

May the soul of this Kenyan from Nandi county rest in peace,"said the Cherangany MP.

This comes after police in Lessos, Nandi County brutally murdered a man by the name Tirop who was trying to help a bodaboda operator who was arrested by the police for not putting on a facemask.

It led to irate Lessos residents demonstrating on Thursdays blocking all road and paralyzing everything in Lessos town.
