Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has become the first United Player to Score a hatrick since Sir Alex Ferguson era.

The last time Manchester United had a player score a hatrick was in 2013. Robin Van Persie was the last United player to do so. The Dutchman's hatrick against Aston Villa in 2013 helped Manchester United seal the 13th Premier League title under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Signed from Monaco, Anthony Martial has blown hot and cold with the Frenchman displaying glimpses of promises in some games but failing to impress in some.

However, against Sheffield United, the 23 year old reminded everyone of his quality as he scored his first goal against The Blades in the 7th minute after a low cross from Marcus Rashford.

Martial continued with his tally scoring the second goal in the dying minutes of first half after receiving a pass from right back Aaron Wan Bissaka.

The Frenchman put the game into bed as he scored the third United goal in the 74th minute and announcing himself to the world as the first Manchester United player to score a hatrick since Sir Alex Ferguson era. United won the game 3-0.
