ViralMan 06/25/2020

When the Deputy President William Ruto met a host of ousted leaders at the Senate and National Assemblies, a banner christened Jubilee Asili caught the attention of many Kenyans who perceived it as a move by the Tangatanga to curve their political journey ahead of 2022.

Supporters of DP Ruto, who had lost hope in having a future in their mother party owing to the recent post coalition agreements that pundits argue aims at elbowing the country's second in command out of 2022 race, finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel.

A glimmer of hope found a new home in the hearts of DP Ruto's supporters who envisaged the Jubilee Asili outfit as a party in the making ahead of 2022 General Elections.

However, a report by Daily Nation has unmasked intricate details of how supporters of DP Ruto are dreaming if they are hoping that Jubilee Asili will be their political party ahead of 2022.

This is after it emerged that a mysterious man is reported to have rushed to the Registrar of Political Parties to reserve the name Jubilee Asili.

The man identified as Andrew Simiyu, who is said to be a businessman with no interest in politics, applied for the reservation the following day after the DP met with ousted leaders of the Jubilee Party.

Applying to reserve a name is the first legal step of registering a party and that only means no other person will register a party is someone has already booked the name with the Registrar of Political Parties.

But even as this new revelations emerge, Tangatanga leaders have on record insisted that Jubilee Asili is not a party.

According to a section of leaders who spoke on the new Jubilee Asili Centre, including Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Senator Susan Kihika and MP Didmus Barasa, the new centre is for those Jubilee Leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto who have been locked out of the Jubilee Party headquarters in Pangani.

Tanga Tanga leaders claimed that they had been locked out of the Pangani Headquarters for some time and they had decided to unveil the centre so that they can hold their political meetings and discussions ahead of 2022.
